Vodacom Blue Bulls
Vodacom Blue Bulls have produced plenty of rugby legends who have changed the landscape of South African rugby. The most prominent, the fly half Naas Botha, holds the record for the most appearances in finals and his four drop goals during the 1987 final is still prominently documented in the history books. Another No.10 who helped the Vodacom Blue Bulls secure a Currie Cup is Derick Hougaard. The fly half’s 26 points during the 2002 final is still the record for the highest individual score.
The iCollege Pumas, the pride of Mpumalanga, opened their doors in 1969. Formerly known as the South Eastern Transvaal, their home matches are played at the Mbombela Stadium. The iCollege Pumas secured the 2018 Supersport Rugby Challenge cup, which can only be a good sign for their upcoming Currie Cup campaign.
