Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Is DirectAxis a reputable Financial Service Provider?

Yes. DirectAxis has helped hundreds of thousands of South Africans to obtain loans. We’re an authorised Financial Services Provider, we’ve always promoted responsible lending and we’re compliant with the National Credit Act.

Will my repayments be affected by interest rate fluctuations?

No. The interest rate on your loan will be fixed at our current interest rate for your full loan term, so your repayments will never increase, even if the interest rate goes up.

How large a loan can I apply for?

Any amount from R4 000 to R50 000 in increments of R1 000.

What are the loan repayment terms?

We offer repayment terms from 24 months to 7 years (84 months). Click here to view our Loan Options table.

Do I have to provide collateral to secure my loan?

No, all DirectAxis Personal Loans are unsecured.

If I'm approved, how soon will I get my money?

Your loan amount could be deposited into your bank account within as little as 48 hours.

Can I use my personal loan amount as I choose?

Absolutely. The money is yours to spend as you see fit.

Can I be refused a loan?

We'll always do our best to accommodate your requests, but ultimately your final loan amount will be based on your personal financial profile and subject to credit approval. If you like, you can use our Budget Planner to work out a monthly repayment amount you can afford.

Can I choose how I make my repayments?

For your convenience, your repayments will be deducted from the bank account into which your salary is paid by debit order every month.

What is the Personal Protection Plan?

Every DirectAxis Personal Loan includes our Personal Protection Plan, which settles your outstanding loan balance in the event of your death, permanent disability or certain dread diseases. It also provides limited cover in the event of temporary disability or retrenchment. Of course, you're free to substitute the plan with a policy of your choice, providing the cover offered is equivalent.

Do I need to obtain permission from my spouse in order to take out a loan?

If you are married in community of property or in terms of customary or foreign law, you are required to obtain consent from your spouse to enter into any credit agreement.
